The development involved the design and production of two different manipulation devices used for handling chamotte mass and its transportation between various production machines. The second gripping device is used for manipulating containers for firing graphite molds. The manipulation method for chamotte shapes, connection to an industrial manipulator, gripper control, and device variability for different shapes and dimensions of the chamotte shapes were addressed. The device was fully designed and subjected to analyses. After the prototype was manufactured and tested in operation, final products were produced and delivered by IdeaHUB.
